Ayr Amateur Radio Group regularly offer training courses set at Foundation and Intermediate levels with tutorial instruction available on the Full Licence syllabus.

The Buddy System is a method of assisting newcomers to the Amateur Radio Community by providing initial one to one support by means of help from a more experienced Operator and aiding the Group to assess future training needs.

The AARG assessment form is so designed to allow all parties, from the MM3 and MM6 series to realistically assess their individual progress, along with their ‘AARG Buddy’, and to inform the Intermediate Course Organiser when they will be ready to take the examination.
